Crawley Wasps Under 16’s – September Round Up

Season Update :

It was great to see the season start for the Under 16s, We had a good Summer with some tournaments and then transitioned into Pre Season Friendly Games to prepare us for the coming season. During Pre Season we welcomed 3 New Players to the team Billie Saunders & Emma Brookbank who joined us from neighbours Crawley Town Girls FC and Alice Little who was at Caterham Pumas last season, all 3 girls have come into the team really well and are growing within our team, We lost Mollie Martin in the close season as she rejoins Eastbourne Borough, we have ended up with a squad since of 17 players now for the coming season, Mark And I have discussed this and we will have to Rest 2 players every game and will take a squad of 14 Outfield Players every week with us. This so far has worked out with injuries and family commitments.  So far this season we have played 3 League Games, Winning 2 Games and Losing 1. We have also had our first League Cup Game which we won on Penalties. We think its been a good start to the season and we are looking forward to the girls pushing hard in the league and cups, I am sure for the supporters watching on its been good but also kept you entertained aswell, I know my voice is already feeling it.

Winter Training

As you are all aware we have moved to Broadfield 3G for the whole of the Winter and this is a major move for our girls and is a better surface that we can work on, We will also be having either Pro Kickers with us every week or Head Coach Martin Firmo to help us develop the girls.

Christmas Outing

Every year we try to arrange something for the girls to do and we are working to get something planned for them, and will come back to the parents to make sure the costing is ok with you before discussed with the girls as we know they will always say yes

As always thank you for all your support every game
