Crawley Wasps hit nine goals for the second time in a week as they thrashed Fulham Foundation 9-2 to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
Summer signing Kemina Webber scored four and created two others, while Faye Rabson set up the demolition job with a first-half hat-trick.
Ex-Lewes forward Rabson opened the scoring on six minutes, after latching on to Toni Smith’s pass, although Fulham equalised following a cross from the left which was converted at the far post.
Webber restored the lead midway through the first half, nodding in Naomi Cole’s corner, but Fulham again quickly levelled as Wasps failed to deal with a corner, despite an excellent save from Frankie Gibbs.
Parity lasted barely a minute, however, as Rabson struck again to make it 3-2 and she was involved in the build up not long after that, releasing Webber, who squared for Ariana Fleischman to finish.
Rabson completed her treble on 36 minutes, taking an exquisite touch before rounding the goalkeeper, and Webber curled in superbly from an angle to make it 6-2 at the break.
New signing Charlie Carter – who last season played six times for Lewes in the FA Women’s Premier League, two levels above – came into the back four at half time, as did regulars Holly Walker and Michelle Ward.
The goals continued early in the second half. Webber fired in with her left foot for the perfect hat-trick after excellent work from Cole, before she nodded in Rabson’s cross, following intricate passing also involving Fleischman.
Cole completed the rout from the spot after Fulham’s goalkeeper was adjudged to have brought down Suzanne Davies.
Wasps have now scored 31 goals in their last four games in all competitions.
