Recent signing Millie Carter grabbed two more goals as Crawley Wasps reserves won 6-1 at Bexhill United on Sunday.

Carter, who also netted twice on her debut for Wasps reserves against Meridian last month, got the first two for Simon Pavey’s side at The Polegrove.

Toni Smith headed in the third before the break following a free-kick, with Alex Tibble further extending the lead in the second half.

Bexhill pulled one back through Dominique Beckett but Wasps were never in danger of surrendering their commanding lead.

Substitute Amy Clark came off the bench to add a brace as Wasps’ reserves continued their 100 per cent record at the top of the South East Counties Premier Division.

Centre-back Ellie Russell made her debut having followed Carter across from Pompey. Experienced full-back Michelle Ward was named the Thales player of the match.

Wasps reserves: Samain; Ward, Russell, Duncan, Tibble; Davies, T. Smith, Natalie Stephenson, Woollard; M. Carter, O’Hagan. Subs: Dunn, Barnham, Clark, Dunt.
