Crawley Wasps moved six points clear at the top of the London & South East Premier Division with a 7-0 win at Eastbourne Town on Sunday.
Faye Rabson and Suzanne Davies both scored twice to extend the club’s unbeaten start to 11 matches in all competitions.
Wasps had only netted three times in their previous four visits to The Saffrons but made up for that with their joint-biggest league win of the campaign.
It took them six minutes to go in front. Rabson’s cross from the right appeared too close to the keeper, but she spilled it and Callaghan snapped up the rebound.
Wasps took control around the half-hour mark with two goals in three minutes, both created by Thales player of the match Callaghan.
She first teed up Rabson to fire home and then latched on to an excellent Ariana Fleischman pass before crossing for Davies to nod in.
Just before the break, Charlie Carter slipped a ball into Kemina Webber and the striker’s cross was turned into her own net by an unfortunate Town defender.
Seven minutes into the second half, Callaghan hit the post following a corner and Walker drilled in the loose ball.
The woodwork was struck twice more, denying Callaghan again and then Davies, while Wasps added a couple of late goals.
Davies pounced after Naomi Cole’s shot had been saved to make it 6-0 and Rabson grabbed the seventh.
