MATCH REPORT: Lewes Foundation 2 Crawley Wasps res 4

Crawley Wasps reserves hit back from two goals down to beat Lewes Foundation 4-2 on Sunday for their seventh league win on the spin this season.

Wasps hit the post early on but their hopes of holding on to their 100 per cent record looked bleak when the hosts scored twice either side of half time, through Olivia Walker and Maya Beesley.

But Simon Pavey’s side responded in fine fashion during the second half. Amy Clark pulled one back, Rosanne Fine (pictured) levelled things up and substitute Lauren Callaghan’s goal nudged Wasps’ reserves ahead for the first time.

Another sub, Zoe Martin, then nodded in Woollard’s corner past former Wasps youth-team goalkeeper Feitong Wilde to ensure a seventh win in a row.

Wasps reserves: Samain; Measures, Richards, Duncan, Ward; Woollard, T. Smith, Natalie Stephenson, N. Smith; Fine, Clark. Subs: Barnham, Martin, Callaghan, Dunt.
