ROUND-UP: Under-16s take point against leaders

Crawley Wasps Under-16s became the first team to take points off Sussex County Girls League leaders Eastbourne Borough in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Alana Delaney scored from the edge of the box and Emily Flegg rounded the keeper to give Wasps a 2-1 lead at half-time.

Borough, who had won their first five games, equalised after the break. Wasps’ centre-back Macy Watts was named Thales player of the match.

Wasps’ Ladies Development squad were beaten 4-1 at home by Pagham. Their goal came from Nicky Durling, who converted a Tamzin Byworth cross.

Billie Saunders was named player of the match, but the defeat was compounded by an injury to Sonia Foster, who was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs after colliding with the goalkeeper.

The matches involving Wasps’ ladies reserves and the Under-11s were both postponed.
