Crawley Wasps reserves dropped their first points of the season in the South East Counties Premier Division as they lost 2-1 at Ashford.

Things started well for Simon Pavey’s side when Hannah Duncan headed in her second goal of the season from a Natalie Stephenson corner.

Wasps held that lead going into the break and looked in a good position to make it nine wins from nine in the league.

But Ashford came into this game as the only other unbeaten side, with five wins and a draw from their six matches.

And the hosts duly turned the match on its head as they struck twice in the second half to win, both goals scored by

Wasps reserves: Samain; Richards, Duncan, Russell, Ward; Davies, Natalie Stephenson, T. Smith, Woollard; M. Carter, Fine. Subs: Callaghan, N. Smith, Dunt.
