Job title: Under-18s coach
Qualifications required: Minimum FA Level 2 coaching badge (or working towards it). Current and valid CRB/DBS certificate mandatory. First-aid qualifications desirable.
Salary: Voluntary role

Crawley Wasps LFC are looking for a talented and energetic coach to help further the development of our Under-18s team, one of the jewels in the club’s crown.

Working alongside the current team manager, you would play an integral role in guiding our most promising youngsters through the transition to senior ladies football.

Many of the squad have been together since they were Under-10s, nurtured by previous coaches, and are the club’s most successful youth team – between September 2013 and May 2018, they lost just three of the 70 matches they played against girls teams.

Such was their dominance, the squad played against boys teams in the Mid Sussex Youth League in the 2016-17 season to give them a greater challenge. They returned to girls’ football in 2017-18 as Under-16s and have this season stepped up into the Under-18s section. Several of the squad play for Sussex FA’s representative squad.

The successful candidate would be expected to continue the rapid pace of development of this team, with a focus on readying them for the next stage of their football career, becoming part of the FA Women’s National Reserve League squad we plan to have in 2019-20.

We are seeking a coach with at minimum an FA level 2 badge – Level 1-qualified coaches will be considered in exceptional circumstances and where they are actively pursuing their Level 2 badge.

To apply: All enquiries should be directed to Maz Graves, club secretary, Crawley Wasps LFC. Please email: clubsecretarywasps@gmail.com.
